In years old times, I have found these at an Italian restaurant that is no longer open. The rolls were heavy, but amazing in flavor and aroma, and baked green every day. Where might I find some amazing bread?

Brioso caters to casual, flavorful side of Italian cuisine

Plates of impeccably-twirled linguine and tricolor ravioli sit in the front display case as the tempting aroma of fresh Alfredo and marinara swirl through the Italian villa — accurately in the middle of Columbia’s Main Street.

And it’s that “fresh casual” that defines the Brioso taste. It’s part Panera, part Carrabba’s. The restaurant’s menu of pastas, flat bread pizzas and paninis is posted above the front money register, and diners place their orders as they walk through the door. Waiters and waitresses then take control of the sit-down dining experience, filling drink orders and delivering eatables to the nicely-set tables — they even upgrade from the table-top number system, sending spot grinders as order markers.
